He Began To Speak

Good morning! The Lord is our confidant, the One we can turn to in the midst of anything we are going through in our lives. Trust Him. Enjoy today’s devotion.

“32 When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn’t speak was brought to Jesus.33 So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. “Nothing like this has ever happened in Israel!” they exclaimed.

34 But the Pharisees said, “He can cast out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons.”” – Matthew 9:32-34 NLT

Brothers and sisters, the Lord is still in the business of casting out demons. He continues to amaze us with His mighty power and work. Even when people cast doubt on the Lord, let us remain faithful and stand firm in what we believe and have read in his word. Don’t limit God or what he can do in our lives or the lives of others.  He is our Deliverer. Just as the man began to speak, let us speak about the One (Jesus Christ) who delivered us and set us free.

Father God,  you are mighty and more powerful than any creature in, above or below this earth. Even the demons fear and obey you. Lord, forgive us for times we did not fear you or obey you. Lord, forgive us for not fully understanding how powerful you are and for the times we doubted your greatness. Lord, work in us and teach us your truth. Lord, speak to us, give us ears to hear and a soft heart to be obedient to you. Lord, we pray for those who are demon-possessed and ask that you deliver them from bondage. Lord, we pray for complete restoration in their lives. Lord, when you remove the demon(s) don’t let any of them return, not one. Lord, we pray for those who are casting out demons in your name. Lord, give them your strengthen and power, equip them and protect them from harm. Be their shield and fill them with discernment. Lord, we pray for our youth and ask that you continue to pour your Holy Spirit into them. Help them, Lord. Lord, so many people are feeling hopeless and are suffering from mental illness. Lord, please heal the mentally ill and give them hope in you. Lord, we want you in our lives. Be the Lord of our lives today and each day after. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep praying over your home. Keep praying for your family. Keep trusting God’s word.
