He Took Our Sickness

Good morning! The Lord is in control. Is there anything too hard for God? Absolutely not. The demons obey Him, the rocks will cry out if we don’t praise Him, he raised the dead to life, he made walls fall down, he made the blind see, he changed the hearts of kings, he healed the sick and added years to life, and he still sets captives free. Trust Him with your problems both big and small. Let’s continue where we left of yesterday. Enjoy your day and today’s devotion.

“16 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. 17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,

“He took our sicknesses
    and removed our diseases.”[Isaiah 53:4]” – Matthew 8:16-17 NLT

Nothing is too hard for our God.

  • Are you willing to bring your sickness or the sickness of another to the Lord in prayer? ______
  • Will you trust the Lord and his plan? ______

Father God, we thank you for all that you have done for us. Lord, our hope is in you. Lord, if everything around us fails or falls apart you are still with us. Thank you for never leaving us. Father God, your love for us is incomparable. Lord, forgive us when we don’t reciprocate that love. Lord, teach us to love like you love. Lord, teach us to care like you care. Lord, give us discernment in all the things we do, say and believe. Lord, direct our steps and align our will to yours. Lord, touch the sick. Lord, comfort those with terminal conditions and renew their hope and faith in you. Lord,  be with the doctors as they treat the sick. Lord, give them wisdom and courage to treat the sick. Lord, be the families as they seek understanding. Comfort them, Lord. Lord, remove demons from our homes, our workplaces, and our schools. Protect our children around the country from evil/harm in school, on the way to and from school, and in the community. Lord, be my strength and give us wisdom to follow you all the days of our lives. Lord, not our will, but your will be done. Keep changing us, Lord. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep seeking! Keep praying! Keep believing!
