Good morning! I’m certain you have heard versions of today’s verse throughout your childhood, so I used the New Living Translation and New International versions, just to help you recall.

“¹² “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12 NLT

Let us demonstrate the love, respect and kindness that we wish to receive. You want a good friend, be a good friend. You want to be respected, learn to respect others. You want to be blessed by the Lord, be a blessing to him and those around you…you will see how He has and will continue to bless you. 

Father God,  thank you for your love and patience. Lord, thank you for not giving us what we deserve. Forgive us for not following your direction in our lives. Lord, whatever we do and in everything we do strengthen and teach us to do it lovingly from the heart and to bring glory to your name. Lord, continue to work in us and change us. Lord, remove the things that do not please you. In Jesus name, amen.
