Happy Wednesday! Each morning when I read through the scriptures, I come to find that the Lord is equipping me for enough strength for that day. I wake up hungry for the word and ready to be feed. No matter what I’m going through or what’s going on around me, I find my stability in the morning when I meet with the Lord. How about you? Enjoy today’s verses.
“31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” – Matthew 6:31-34 NLT
As difficult as life may seem, as hard as it may be to live worry free, Jesus is calling us out to strengthen our faith, to trust Him. He reminds us in Matthew 6:
- v.25 – That is why I tell you not to worry…
- v.31 – So don’t worry…
- v.34 – So don’t worry…
What do you need to stop worrying about and start praying about? ______
Whatever it is, whenever it comes into your mind, just start praying. Keep praying. The Lord hears you and He loves you. He knows every need you have today. Keep your eyes focused on the One who can change anything. Trust and pray.
Father God, thank you for your love for us. Thank you for always caring for us. Lord, thank you for giving us today. Lord, thank you for allowing us to see your mighty work in the midst of chaos and troubling times. Lord, we pray for all those who are worrying and ask that you steady their heart so that they can focus on you. Lord, you know our physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs. Lord, don’t let the spirit of fear over take our thoughts and motives. Lord, in the Name of Jesus we tell that spirit of worry and fear, that is not of you, to leave. Lord, pour your Holy Spirit into our lives and transform us. Renew our minds daily and equip us with your sound word. Lord, fill us with your power, love and give us a sound mind. Let our light of faith in You shine in us today. In Jesus name, amen.
