Happy Monday! Today is another opportunity to spend time with the Lord. Enjoy today’s devotion and your time with the Lord.
“41 Lord, give me your unfailing love,
the salvation that you promised me.
42 Then I can answer those who taunt me,
for I trust in your word.
43 Do not snatch your word of truth from me,
for your regulations are my only hope.
44 I will keep on obeying your instructions
forever and ever.
45 I will walk in freedom,
for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
46 I will speak to kings about your laws,
and I will not be ashamed.
47 How I delight in your commands!
How I love them!
48 I honor and love your commands.
I meditate on your decrees.” Psalm 119:41-48 NLT
Brothers and sisters don’t be ashamed to speak the truth about your Christian belief. Today is the perfect day to meditate on the reason(s) for your faith. As you meditate on them, share your reason(s) with someone else – share the good news – the gospel of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:15b-16 reads: And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
Father God, thank you for softening our hearts to hear from you. Thank you for your unfailing love and your salvation. Lord, continue to equip us with the knowledge and the wisdom that we need to share the gospel message with unbelievers. Help us to stand firm in our beliefs, discern your will, trust in you and your timing. Lord, we pray for the atheists who don’t believe in you. Lord, we ask that you show them who you are, and that they will receive you as their Lord and Savior. Lord, we also are in prayer for our brothers and sisters in the faithfulwho are struggling with their faith – Lord, we ask for you to strengthen them. Lord, be with the sick and heal them. Lord, we ask that you supply food to the hungry and shelter for those with no home. Lord, continue to change us. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
