Happy New Year! Ready or not we are in 2018. If the Lord wills, we will have 365 days to experience His love, share His truth and keep him first in our lives. Enjoy today’s message.

“Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:14-16 NLT

If there was a New Years resolution to love people or love them more in the 2018, the verses above should be our reminder. God loves us more than we can ever comprehend, however God shows his love for us each day. Because of his love and faithfulness toward us, we can love and learn to love others.

While our minds may say it’s impossible to love…, the apostle Paul wrote it perfectly in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Brothers and sisters, nothing is to hard for God. He is the God of possible (Genesis 18:14, Jeremiah 32:17 & 32:27, Luke 18:27 AMP) and we can trust his word.

Will you open up your heart and ask God to show you how to love as he loves us? _____

Will you trust God in your relationships to show you how to love others in a healthy way? ______

Father God, we thank you for loving us and for sending your son Jesus Christ to be the Savior of this world. Lord God, thank you for a new year. Lord, we want this to be a year where we surrender everything to you and trust you to be God of our lives. Lord, renew our faith, increase our boldness for declaring you as Lord of our lives. Lord, we want this to be a year that people see you living in us. Lord, restore our hope. Heal the broken pieces of our hearts that were shattered in the past by a lack of trust, failed relationships, disappointments, etc. Lord, heal the sick and touch those who are in pain. Lord be with our families and begin to restore relationship that were damaged. Lord, bring joy and laughter into our lives. Lord, remove fears and plant peace into our minds. Lord, we know there is victory in you, help us all to start new and keep our eyes focused on you. In Jesus name, amen!
