“Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come. These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us. But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth. So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:18-23 NLT
Maybe you know people like the ones list above (liars/antichrist). Don’t lose heart, keep praying for non-believers to know and follow Christ. Keep following the truth.
Which non-believer will you pray for today? ________
Father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ. Thank you for the truth and freedom you freely give. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that counsels and guides us. Thank you for letting us understand the difference between truth and lies. Lord, we often read, hear and see things and it is easy to distinguish the truth from a lie. Lord, other times “smoke and mirrors” capture our attention and before we know it the enemy clouds our ability to see the truth. Heavenly Father, we ask that you continue to expose the lies about who you are. Lord, unveil the eyes of non-believers so that they may know you and accept you as their Lord and Savior, and live a life in obedience to you. Lord, begin with non-believers in our families, in our immediate circles, in our schools, in churches, the workplace and the world. Lord, equip and prepare us for encounters with non-believers so that we may be true witnesses who are humble and bold. In Jesus name, Amen!
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
