Frustrated – Keep Going

Good morning! Paul continues writing, the Galatians (church of Galatia) sharing a bit of his frustration with them.

“Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives. I wish I were with you right now so I could change my tone. But at this distance I don’t know how else to help you.” Galatians 4:19-20 NLT

Have you ever been frustrated? I mean the type of frustration when you told somebody something and they acted like they didn’t hear you. Or they heard you and continued to do what they wanted to do. Then you can only imagine how Paul felt.

However, Paul did not stop writing his letter to them. He continued to pursue. He knew it was essential for them to learn and maintain their foundation on the freedom they have in Christ Jesus, which we will read more about tomorrow.

The lesson today, brothers and sisters, don’t give up on praying for those who don’t know the freedom they have in Christ Jesus. Continue to build their faith. When you think it’s hopeless, keep praying, keep living by example and ask the Lord to strengthen you as you pray and minister to them.

Father God,  we thank you for examples like Paul. Examples that show us his journey was not easy. Thank you for the examples of his faithfulness in the midst of his frustration. Lord, today we lift up pastors, ministers, bishops, Sunday school teachers, missionaries, Bible study leaders and ask that you give them a renewed strength, a renewed hope and refresh them with your Holy Spirit to continue to share the gospel message throughout the world. Lord may your word penetrate the hearts of believers and non-believers, help us not to turn a deaf ear to your word, but follow it so that we can continue in our faith until Christ is fully developed in us and others around the world. Lord, your word says in Isaiah 55:11 NLT, It is the same with my word.  I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Lord, we trust your word and believe, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
