Good News

Good morning! “I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.” Galatians 1:6-7 NLT

The writer of Galatians could not believe that the people of Galatia, that he had ministered to, were quickly turning away from the true gospel message of Jesus Christ. The false teachers were turning the people away from God.

It’s easy to get entangled by the popular response. It’s easy to go along with the crowd without fully understanding the truth, but we are called to seek discernment.  As we seek God’s truth, the Lord will guide us and reveal His truth.

This is a good reminder for us to read the word of God and study his word. When we read the Bible and it gets imprinted on our hearts and minds, it helps us to identify “fake gospel news” and turn to God’s truth.

Dear Lord, thank you for the good news. Thank you for your love toward humanity.  Lord, please continue to guide us today. Strengthen our faith and show us how we can love and care for your people. Lord, be with those who are still suffering from the devastation of the hurricanes and earthquakes. Lord, protect our families and grant us peace of mind today. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
