A Thousand Years Is Like A Day

Good morning! “But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” 2 Peter 3:8-9 NLT.

Sisters and brothers there is a lot of work for us to do. There are still thousands of people who have not heard the gospel or have turned away from their faith. It’s time that we buckle down and get busy about the Lord’s business.

Lord, thank you for your patience with us. Lord equip us with your power and might to speak of your truth to others. Lord fill our hearts with a longing to love you. Help us to accept your purpose and your plan for our lives. Help us to recognize the gifts you have given us and use them for your glory. Lord don’t let us become distracted or paralyzed by the chaos in this world. Help us to see these uncertain times as opportunities to share your word, share our faith and walk in hope of your quick return. Lord protect us as we armor ourselves with your word/truth. Keep us and our families.

Lord we also lift up the least, last and the loss today. Lord be with them and encourage them to hold on to you. Lord help us too seek them out, point them out to us Lord so that we may be your hands and feet to minister to them, provide for them as you lead our hearts, and encourage them in their daily lives. In Jesus name, Amen.

Keep praying! Keep trusting! Keep believing!
