Good Morning! “Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead. That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead—so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 4:4-6 NLT
The cost to follow Christ may seem high. It may cost you friendships, family and relationships, but remember the reward of living a life in Christ – eternal salvation. Christ paid the highest cost when he died on the cross for our sins. His love for you and I took him to the cross, so that we can be forgiven of our sins and be reconciled to God.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I do know I would rather glorify the Lord who is everything to me (healer, protector, confidant, father, lawyer, way maker, etc.,) than pursue the things that are temporal in this world. In light of Christ my future is different, my end goals are different and the choices I make are different.
Continue to serve the Lord, be set apart, and finally be so attractive in your actions and love for the Lord that others see Christ in you and are drawn to follow Him too.
Lord, continue to work in us, our speech, our understanding of the word and our love/compassion for others. Lord help us to honor you even when your way is less popular. Keep us focused on you, so that on the day of judgment we will stand approved. In Jesus name, Amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
