Happy Friday!

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. ‘Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy (Isaiah 43:20).’ “1 Peter 2:9-10NLT

There was a time when ‘chosen people’ only referred to the Jewish people, but because of Christ, everyone who believes are his chosen people.

As believers, we are his chosen, his elect who will see the Kingdom of God. Today and in days to come, walk in the light of the Lord. Allow the Lord to shine bright through you and your circumstances.

Stay encouraged. Keep praying! Don’t give up! Continue to declare his praises. People are watching and longing to have the joy and light that the Lord freely gives to you.

Heavenly Father, some days are more difficult than others and its hard to see joy in those tough situations. However, Father you have chosen us to be a vessel to share the gospel, to live as examples of you – showing mercy, love, patience, peace. You have given us promises and have showen us your faithfulness over and over again, and we praise you for that. Today Father we ask for your strength to walk forward in whatever we are facing, Lord we ask that you bind the enemy that wants to discourage us, destroy us and keep us in disarray. Lord we ask that your peace will overflow in us and through us as we continue to stand firm on your word, pressing through in your strength and allowing you to be the voice that speaks louder than our thoughts. Father help us to live a life that reflects you. Cover our families, heal our brokenness, remove addictions and heal your land. Keep us Father, strengthen our faith. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Enjoy your weekend!
