Good Morning! Today we are going to begin in 1 Peter. “This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.”

Although this was written to a certain group this letter is in the Bible for everyone to read. If you have given your life to Christ you are his chosen, you have been made holy and have been cleansed by the blood of Christ.

And as a reminder, we are his chosen living as foreigners in this world. The joy I have is in knowing this place is our temporary home and the Lord chose us! Don’t be discouraged, live in expectation of things to come, stand firm in your belief and continue to pray for those who don’t know the Lord. May his grace and peace be with you and your family today. May the Lord work in and through you as others seek to understand where your hope and joy comes from. Trust him! Keep praying!
