Happy Friday! “For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.” James 5:10-11 NLT.

I know the Christian walk is not easy. We would be deceiving ourselves if we said it was easy. However, we must never forget the faithfulness of the Lord. The examples in the bible are reminders for us to hold on to our faith, to understand that even the “called” like David went through significant trials and tribulations. Even in his sorrow and times of the unknown he wrote “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”(Psalm 56:3) and “Pull me from the trap my enemies set for me, for I find protection in you alone.” (Psalm 31:4). Remember the rain (trials) falls on the just and the unjust, but for the just…the Lord is with us through it all.

This weekend take time to remember how the Lord brought you through difficult times and suffering. For some we are still waiting to get through, while others have made it through and continue to grow stronger in faith.
